Collins to celebrate 50th anniversary

---- — Richard L. Collins and Judy K. (Williams) Collins of Bethany will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary March 14, 2014.

They will be honored March 30 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., with cake and punch at the Stewardson Community Building in Stewardson. All family and friends are invited to attend. Cards may also be sent to 411 S. Crowder Bethany, Illinois 61914

The couple met August 15, 1963 in Shelbyville, Illinois, a date they continue to celebrate every year.

The couple was married March 14, 1964 at the Washington Methodist church in Stewardson, Illinois. Best man was Ronnie Tabbert of Missouri. Maid of honor was Diane (Camfield) Atteberry of Shelbyville, Illinois.

The Collins have three daughters: Kimberly (Collins) Williams and (the late Jerry Williams) of Poseyville, Indiana. Michelle (Collins) Knop and husband Kyle Knop of Strasburg, Illinois. Jill (Collins) Hart of Sullivan, Illinois.; five grandchildren: Kayla (Knop) Nichols and husband Josh Nichols of Strasburg; Tanner and Drake Williams, Ali Hart and Kendall Knop; and one great grandson, Brantley Nichols of Strasburg.

Richard retired from ADM/All-Tri-R after 25 years of construction work. Judy has been and still is a homemaker.
