Barnes completes basic training

---- — Seth Barnes successfully completely his Naval basic training at Recruit Training Command, Naval Station Great Lakes on August 9th, 2013. He is the son of Trent and Tracy Barnes and a 2013 graduate of Cowden-Herrick High School. Seth enlisted in the US Navy Delayed Entry Program in August 2012 and left for Boot camp on June 11, 2013.

Attending Seth’s graduation ceremony were his parents and brother Blake. He also celebrated his graduation weekend with his grandparents, Loren and Sharon Barnes and Kevin and Wanda McCarty, uncles Brian Barnes, Brent Barnes and family, and friend Fallyn Paruleski.

Seth is now attending “A-school” at Naval Air Station, Pensacola, FL where he will be trained for his rate as an ABF- Aviation Boatswains mate Fuels and from there will be assigned to an Aircraft Carrier.
