Grove to celebrate 100th birthday

---- — Alee (Richards) Grove will be celebrating her 100th birthday on January 18.

She was born January 18, 1914, in the back of a covered wagon on the way to Idaho to her parents Berts and Tress Richards. Most of her childhood was spent in Windsor, IL, where she attended Windsor High School.

She married Wayne Grove on July 4, 1935. They raised three children: Ronald, William and Dee Ann. Alee and Wayne had six grandchildren: Tracie, Kris, Michael, Robbie, Rachel and Robyn; and nine great grandchildren: Maggie, Wilson, Griffin, Harris, Michael, Alex, Alivia, Alee and Riley.

Alee and Wayne spent most of their married life in Arlington Heights, IL, and retired to Stewardson, IL. In 1994 Alee moved to Woodland Park, CO, where she now resides.

Two of her sisters lived past their 100th birthdays: Daisy (Richards) Caspary and Gladys (Richards) Morford.
