4-H Camp is open to all Shelby County 4-H'ers

---- — Centrally located in Monticello, Ill., 4-H Memorial Camp is the perfect place for a child to experience the finest in summer camp life. Traditional and innovative programs, professional staff, and comfortable facilities await campers at 4-H Memorial.

The program includes five days of fun and adventure. Activity choices offer non-stop action in waterfront programs, arts and crafts, nature programs, and recreational sports and games. Some examples include swimming, canoeing, rock wall climbing, volleyball, leather tooling, ceramics, softball, and fishing to name a few. Dozens of learning projects are also offered each week including some of the following: model rocketry, flower arranging, GPS guided geo-caching and photography.

4-H Memorial Camp is accredited through the strict standard of the American Camping Association and exceeds their requirements for the proper administration, personnel, program, health care, and aquatics of a residential camp.

Shelby County 4-H Camp week is scheduled for June 15-19, 2014. The cost is $180 with partial scholarships available through the Shelby County Extension Office. There are only 14 camp spots available. Don’t sit around this summer – Go To Camp!
