School earns PBIS recognition

Shelbyville Daily Union

---- — Parents and faculty member may have noticed a new sticker on the school doors. It is a sticker from the Illinois PBIS Network, and one that the PBIS team and all faculty members at Stew-Stras have worked hard towards.

PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, and Stewardson-Strasburg Elementary school was recently recognized by the Illinois PBIS Network as achieving the “Emerging Level” of implementation for the 2012-13 school year.

In a letter from the PBIS statewide director, it cites that “Stewardson-Strasburg Elementary School was among 677 PBIS schools that applied for an earned recognition.”
