Workshops keep 4-Hers busy

Shelby County 4-H is keeping members busy this summer with a variety of workshops. Cooking Fun and Cake Decorating were held the first week of June and photo editing was held on June 17.

The Sewing and Textiles I Workshop will be held on June 23 from 9:00-12:00 at Main Street Quilt Company in Shelbyville. Members will be making a tote bag which they may exhibit at the fair. The fee is $8.00 to cover the cost of materials. Members are asked to bring a sewing machine if they have one. Members are asked to RSVP by June 19 by calling the Extension Office at 774-9546.

A Scrapbook Crop will be held for members on June 23 from 1:00 until their project is finished or 4:30 at the Extension Office. Members need to bring their own paper, pictures, adhesive and embellishments to complete their pages. The office will have all kinds of cool scrapbooking tools that will assist members in creating some awesome scrapbook pages for the fair. There is no cost to attend. Members are asked to RSVP by June 19 by calling the Extension Office at 774-9546.

An Aerospace workshop is being planned for June 24 from 9:30-11:30 at the 4-H Center in Shelbyville, which is located at the Fairgrounds. The fee is $10 which covers the cost of the rocket. Members are asked to RSVP by June 19 by calling the Extension Office at 774-9546.

A Flower Arranging workshop is being planned for July 1 from 6:30-8:00 at the Extension Office. The fee is $10 which will cover the cost of materials. Members are asked to RSVP by June 26 by calling the Extension Office at 774-9546.
