Lake Land College’s Adult Education is offering GED classes throughout the Lake Land College district.
In Cowden, GED classes will be held Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m. at the Community Center on W. Locust St.
In Effingham, two sessions of GED classes will be offered at the Kluthe Center, 1204 Network Centre Dr. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. One class will be offered from 12:30 – 4:30 p.m. and the evening class will be offered from 5 – 9 p.m.
In Mattoon, two sessions will be offered at the Adult Education Center, 1617 Lake Land Blvd. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, class will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, class will be held from 5 – 9 p.m. Orientation for the morning class is set for Aug. 19 at the same time and location as the class.
In Shelbyville, GED classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Shelby Christian Church, 200 N. Hickory, from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m.
In Sullivan, GED classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays at the First Methodist Church, 216 W. Jefferson St., from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m.
GED classes have been redesigned into six-week modules. The following dates are for the fall 2013 modules:
Module 1: August 19 – September 27
Module 2: September 30 – November 8
Module 3: November 11 – December 20
For the GED classes, students’ tuition will be waived and all class materials are provided. To find a GED class near you, for more information or to register call 217-235-0361.
