Sullivan, IL - The third of nine Early Bird drawings for The Spotlight Raffle at The Little Theatre was held on April 2 after the opening performance of Willy Wonka Jr. by the students of the S.T.A.R. Dance and Drama program. The winners of the third $500.00 drawing are Mike and Ruth Keown from Sullivan, IL. Over 400 tickets of the 2,200 total have been sold so far.

The next drawing for $500.00 will take place on May 1 at the S.T.A.R. student dance recital. In order to be eligible for the drawing, you ticket must be turned in and paid for before the opening of the show.

You can purchase your $50.00 ticket (which is a tax-deductible donation to The Little Theatre) by calling the box office at 217-728-7375. Tickets can be paid for by cash, check or credit card.

Mike and Ruth Keown join our two previous winners from February 13 - Chris Finley & Daron Smith, St. Louis, MO and March 6 - Michael Brewer - Bethany, IL. Their names will go back into the drawing for each of the next six early bird drawings and for the final drawing on August 15 for $50,000.00.

In the event that the Spotlight 50/50 Raffle does not sell 2,200 tickets, The Little Theatre On The Square reserves the right to split the net proceeds with the grand prize winner. All Prizes must be claimed by September 15, 2009 or they will be forfeited.

Now taking new recruits for Broadway Boot Camp

For the first time, The Little Theatre's S.T.A.R. program will be holding a four week Summer Day camp to help build the skills of our future Broadway performers. Broadway Boot Camp is designed to give students extra training in Acting, Dancing, Singing and Performance that they can not achieve on their own. Students will work with professionals in the field of Musical Theatre to prepare themselves for future auditions and roles in shows.

Registration is now open to any student in Central Illinois in 1st through 12th grades. Two sessions will be offered daily for four weeks: from 9am until 12pm - 1st through 5th grade, and From 1pm until 4pm - 6th through 12th grade. Only 24 slots are open in each class. Each weekly session costs only $75.00 per student. You can sign up for one week or all four. Discounts apply to those who sign up for all four weeks.
