The Okaw Valley school district released a new website on Friday May 2nd. The new website will offer more information from the district level to classroom information and celebrate the school’s educational victories.
The system is a Content Management Website which gives all users, regardless of experience, the opportunity to build dynamic webpages. The vendor for this product is CMS4schools. The previous web system only allowed for a few individuals to upload or change webpages. The CMS system will allow all administrators and teachers to create and edit webpages as needed. The new system also requires little training for users to build and maintain their sites where the previous system took considerable training.
Although the new website went live on May 2nd, building the complete site will take time. Presently the website went live on May 2nd, building the complete site will take time. Presently the website contains much of the district information and the remaining will be added in the coming weeks. Teachers are finishing training and will be working on their class pages. The site should be fully functional by the beginning of August.
