State Rep. Bob Flider, (D-Mt. Zion) announced that he will be hosting a coffee shop stop from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9th at Moweaqua Bowl and Café at 200 S. Main St, Moweaqua.

“Coffee shop stops help me to stay in touch with local area citizens and allow me to hear what they have to say about the important issues that face our state and community,” Flider said. “Hearing the thoughts and opinions of my constituents at local coffee shops makes me better suited to give the people of the 101st District the voice they deserve in Springfield.”

Along with coffee shop stops, Flider has hosted town hall meetings, senior listening tours, satellite office hours, visits with local small businesses and several other district-wide events to remain accessible to his constituents in the 101st District. Flider has also formed several citizen advisory committees in the areas of education, senior issues, labor issues, agriculture, sportsmen, and utility issues.

“With the spring session of the General Assembly over, it is my goal to ensure that I am connected with my constituents by actively soliciting their thoughts, opinions and ideas about the important issues facing our community,” Flider said. “We have worked hard in Springfield to find ways to keep our economy strong and keep the state of Illinois moving forward, now it is important to hear from local residents.”
