---- — Windsor 7th grade basketball went a lot further this year than expected. They ran up a record of 18-6 and won the Stew-Stras regional.

However, on Thursday they dropped the Stew-Stras Sectional crown, one game short of state, to Sigel, 38-16.

Sigel took a 5-point lead in the first, 11-6, then stretched it to a 11-point lead at the break on an 8-2 run, 19-8.

Windsor had one good quarter left in them in the 3rd. They all but Sigel even, trailing by 12 heading into the 4th, 28-16. That was all she wrote as the Trojans were shut out 10-0 down the stretch.

Windsor was all but shut out inside. They had just one 2-point basket. Four of their five buckets were from long distance.
