For several years, the National Heart Association has launched, “Wear Red for Women’s Heart Health” in February. This month Girls Night Out is paying tribute to that campaign by offering a prize to the woman best dressed in red.
Since Girls Night Out began in 2009, SMH has addressed a wide variety of important health topics and some simple no-nonsense strategies to live better. This free community program is a way for women to learn about taking the best care of themselves and their families while enjoying a night out with their friends and neighbors.
Girls Night Out was formed as a venue to educate women that early detection is the best protection is self breast care. Mammograms are encouraged and available at SMH by appointment. For more information, please visit MySMH.org or call 217-774-3961, ext. 5171.
