There has not been any progress on the building in several months and owner Dennis Ballinger of Ballinger and Associates has not responded to inquiries about the work.
“Ballinger is invited to every meeting, He doesn’t want to come,” Cannon said.
“I’m leaving it up to Chapin. I expect something to occur before the next board meeting,” Cannon said.
Cannon also reported that Clean Line Energy is wanting to hold community forums about the proposed lines through southern Shelby County which stretches from Pana to Sigel.
“This will concern more of you (board members) south of Route 16,” Cannon said.
In other business, the board approved:
- lease renewal on the county farm
- appointment of Kay Kearney to Regional Office of Education committee
- appointment of Dick Clark to rescue squad committee
