---- — The First United Methodist Church of Shelbyville will host its annual Christmas dinner at noon December 25.

“This tradition began with the James O. Finks family and carried on by George and Nonie Bolinger,” said Nancy Mills, who, along with her husband David, is now in charge of the event.

“The purpose is to provide a meal to those who would be by themselves on the holiday and those who just want some fellowship,” Mills said.

The free meal will include turkey and ham, dressing, noodles, and dessert. Dine in or carry out available.

Reservations and carry out orders are due by noon December 24 by calling the church at 774-4131.
