The Shelby County Art Show is gearing up for another great event that will happen on April 12 and 13 for the public.
Tony Treadway, pictured, needs no practice in preparing for his pottery demonstration. Tony is busy daily at The Artisans Galleria, often at his potter’s wheel forming the clay into beautiful and functional shapes or trimming, decorating and firing them. Other artisans will include wood turning, pastel, watercolor and others.
Such demonstrators will be available for the public to view and question on Saturday, April 12 from 3-7 p.m. and Sunday, April 13 from noon-5 p.m., the same time as the viewing of junior and adult artwork. This all takes place at the Lake Shelbyville Visitor Center. Entry registration for showing is due March 26 to Shelby County Art Show, P.O. Box 321, Shelbyville, IL 62565. Brochures for additional information and entry registration are available at Merle Norman, 144 E. Main, Shelbyville. They can also be emailed by request to firstname.lastname@example.org.
