Visual art is not the only fine art venue being presented at the 48th Annual Shelby County Art Show when it takes place on April 12 and 13 at the Lake Shelbyville Visitor Center.
Among the art demonstrators and the exhibit items will be vocalist and guitarist Kristen Nelson from Decatur on Saturday from 3-7 and Brock Hammond from Shelbyville on the keyboard on Sunday from noon to 5. Tom Foreman of TEF Custom Guitars from Stewardson will also be there demonstrating his craft and invites players of the guitar to try them out. Mike May will use his talents during some of those opening times to strum the chords of Tom’s instruments.
Registration for the art show must be postmarked by March 26. Junior entries will be received April 10 from 1-5 p.m. Adult entries will be received April 11 from 12-6 p.m. The critique by adult judge Annette Russo and junior judge Debbie Borries will be held April 12 from 1-3 p.m. The Special Exhibit of woodworking will also be set up and ready for viewing when open to the public.
