Raiders fall to 1-5

---- — Central A&M did not help their playoff chances this past Friday night at home against the Tuscola Warriors losing 64-42. The loss was the Raiders fifth loss of the season, eliminating them from the playoffs.

Just like last week, the Raiders allowed over 20 points in the first quarter alone to the Warriors which led to the blowout loss.

Tuscola quarterback, Nick Bates, threw three touchdowns, while completing 9-of-20 passes for 200 yards. Bates scored the Warriors first touchdown of the game off a 20 yard run. He later scored on a goal line run touchdown.

Tristan Williams scored the second touchdown for the Warriors with a 37 yard run. Bates later hooked up with Josh Knight with a 58 yard touchdown pass. The scores set up the blowout win,all in the first quarter. The Raiders did not score until the second quarter.

Overall, the Warriors scored 43 points in the first half alone and only allowed seven points to the Raiders.

For the Raiders, Roy Butts scored their first touchdown of the game with a 19 yard pass from Miles Neilson. Later in the game, Butts scored on 62 yard touchdown run to add on to the 102 yards he ran for on eight rushes.

Neilson threw three touchdowns, completing 14-of-26 passes with 172 yards, but throwing 3 interceptions as well. Zach Ballinger was the receiver for Neilson’s other two touchdowns. Ballinger had a 32 yard and a 22 yard touchdown pass from Neilson.

Ballinger also ran for a seven yard touchdown. Ballinger had 6 receptions for 84 yards and two touchdownsand ran for 39 yards and a rushing touchdown. Jason Pokalsey added to the Raiders rushing numbers with 142 yards on 8 rushes.

The Raiders next matchup comes against Warrensburg-Lathem Cardinals at home in Moweaqua. The Cardinals sit at 1-5 going into the game Friday at 7 p.m.
