Volunteers needed for people with disabilities hunt

Shelbyville Daily Union

---- — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Shelbyville will hold the 24th Annual Deer Hunt for People with Disabilities on November 22, 23 and 24, 2013. Volunteers are needed to help with the hunt. Volunteers will assist in helping hunters getting to and from blinds, tracking, field dressing, dragging deer out of the woods and helping around deer camp. We also need volunteers for mornings and evenings to help set up food, make coffee and clean up after meals. A hunter/volunteer orientation and dinner will be held on the 21st of November.

Hunt camp is based out of the Okaw Bluff Group Houses located just south of Sullivan on IL Route 32. All meals will be provided to volunteers and lodging arrangements are available on site.
