SOV Clobbers Clinton

Sullivan-Okaw Valley football finished their 2013 season with a Senior Night clubbing of Clinton, 41-16.

Clinton scored first on a safety. SOV took the lead, 8-2 in the first of five 2nd quarter touchdowns, four of them in the final 4:35 of the half. Clinton tied the score with 4:35 left in the 2nd, 8-8.

SOV reclaimed the lead on the ensuing kickoff, 15-8. Three and a half minutes later SOV scored againwith 49 seconds left in the half, 23-8. They got the ball right back, 19 seconds later and scored on a 32 yard pass with 30 seconds left in the half, 30-8.

SOV solidified their hold on the game in the 2nd half with two scores, to Clinton’s one and notched the victory, 41-16.

Nick Frerichs threw for 210 on 9 of 17 passing for 3 TDs and one INT. Joe Jeffers caught two balls for 70 yards and two TDs.
