---- — The Cuffs Against Cancer Relay team will also host a free Bicycle Safety Day on Saturday, June 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the northwest courthouse parking lot in Shelbyville. A bicycle safety course by State Farm Insurance agent Jeremy Jokisch will be set up to help young cyclists to become better and safer cyclists. The Safety Day is open to all children Kindergarten through 4th grades. There will also be emergency vehicles for the children to explore. Parents are welcome to attend.
Cuffs Against Cancer will be selling sandwiches and holding a bake sale with proceeds going to Relay for Life.
The Relay team is also holding its first Jail & Bail fundraiser July 11.
For $20 you can have a warrant issued for your boss, co-worker, friend or family member in the slammer to raise money for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. “Criminals” will be arrested and have to see the Judge for bail.
Warrants can be picked up at the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, 151 N. Morgan, Shelbyville, from now until July 5, 8 a.m to 4 p.m
The event will be held Thursday, July 11, from 2 to 7 p.m.
