Windsor/Stew-Stras Rollin'

Windsor/Stew-Stras dropped the first game of their new co-op season, but has since gone a 5-game winning streak. On Friday they beat St. Elmo 11-1 in 5 innings, then swept a doubleheader on Saturday over Dieterich, 4-0 and 7-3, to go to 6-1.

A combined 11 walks by the opposing starters on Friday led to the 10-run win, as W/SS was able to take advantage and St. Elmo couldn’t. Although he walked six, Christian Vonderheide of Stew-Stras also KO’d nine batters, throwing a no-hitter over four innings. Connor Beasley only gave up one hit three innings and trailed just 2-1. Then the wheels came off.

Justin Fulk got another one of those hits and drove in two runs. Hayden Cole got the third hit , scored once and rove in one.
