Jack McClain and Max Beyers have been named by their art teacher, Mrs. Andrea Beltz, as the October Artists of the Month from Main Street Elementary and Moulton Middle School in Shelbyville. Their art can be viewed at an opening reception at Flourishes Gallery and Studios at 140 ½ E. Main in downtown Shelbyville on Sunday, October 6 from 2 to 3 p.m. in the south end of the Beauxarts Ballroom with reception in the Gallery. Their art will remain displayed during October. Attendees may want to stay for First Sunday sign that follows at 3 p.m. on stage in the Ballroom.

Jack McClain is a first grader in Mrs. Corley’s classroom. He enjoys playing outside and his favorite thing to do in art is paint. His favorite color is blue and when he grows up he want to own a restaurant.

Max Beyers is in the fourth grade. His favorite thing to do in art is clay and sculpture. He can even remember creating his favorite project in kindergarten, a clay monster truck. His favorite subject in school is AR and when he grows up he wants to be a Major League Baseball player.
