Nohren appointed Public Guardian and Administrator

---- — On Thursday, November 7, 2013, the gubernatorial appointment of Elizabeth E. Nohren of Dove & Dove, Attorneys at Law, as the Shelby County Public Guardian was confirmed by the Illinois State Senate pursuant to the Senate’s “Advise and Consent” Provision of the State Constitution, Article V, Section 9 . Senator Chapin Rose was Attorney Nohren’s Senate Sponsor.

The Shelby County Public Guardian acts as a court-appointed guardian for disabled persons and as the public administrator of estates of certain deceased individuals.

Attorney Nohren was appointed by Governor Quinn as Shelby County’s Public Guardian this fall. Attorney Nohren successfully completed the requisite training and certification exam to become a National Certified Guardian by the National Guardianship Association and reports she “is honored to fill this important role for the citizens of Shelby County.”
