---- — Windsor High School’s class of 2011 was a special class. The Sweet 16 basketball and volleyball teams, won regionals in softball and won a regional title in baseball.
One of the best volleyball players in WHS history was Haley Maxwell. The middle hitter led Windsor to multiple regional titles and to the Sweet 16. In college, Maxwell led Lincoln Land to the national tournament for the first time. She is now headed on to University of Illinois Springfield.
One of the best softball players in WHS history was Hannah Cole. In college, Cole was All-Ohio Valley Conference at Eastern Illinois University and a leading hitter as a sophomore.
The Floyd boys, twins Kyle and Ryne Floyd Kyle led Windsor to the Sweet 16 in basketball with the additional transfer of Bryn Price. The trio also led Windsor to a regional title in baseball. In college, Kyle Floyd was All-Region 24 in baseball, All-Northern District, and led Kaskaskia College to the national tournament for first time in history. Floyd is now headed on to LMU.
Windsor’s all-star class not only got one good athlete to move on to college, but they had a handful go on to play and excel in their respective in colleges. They now have three of that number advancing even further.
