Shelby Legion Splits With T'town


T’town stats: Flach 1-for-3, run, RBI; Kenter 0-for-3, RBI; Hardiek 0-for-2, BB; Probst 0-for-2, HBP; Will 1-for-3, 3B, run; Thoele 0-for-3, RBI; Repking 0-for-3; Borrie 0-for-1, BBs, run; Ungrund 1-for-1, HBP, 2B, run. Pitching (L) Borries 4 IP, 6 runs, 7 hits, 4 BBs, 1 K; Probst 1 IP, 0 runs, 1 hit, 0 BBs, 1 K.

In game 2, T’town drew first blood and Shelby could only get one of their eight base runners home.

Two singles and a double gave T’town the 2-0 lead after one. RBI singles in the 2nd gave T’town a 4-0 lead.

Shelby got on the board in the 3rd when Vonderheide reached on an error with one out. Keown walked and Theis treached on an error to load the bases. Baker came through with a 1-run single.

T’town got that run back in the 4th with a Flach triple and a sac fly to cap the scoring. Hawkins took the loss, giving up four runs and seven hits in an inning and a half.

Shelby got just three solo hits from Vonderheide, Keown and Baker.
