Culumber Classic tees off at The National July 13

The Shelby County Farm Bureau Foundation will host the 6th Annual Culumber Classic on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at The National at Eagle Creek, Findlay, Illinois.

The Classic will begin at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start. A catered lunch will be prepared by the Findlay American Legion will be served by Shelby County Farm Bureau Foundation scholarship winners. Lunch will be served beginning at 12:30 p.m.

The Culumber Classic offers a variety of team options to involve every golfer. Team options include Senior, Farmer, Family and Fun Foursome. The senior’s team is a foursome whose ages collectively add up to 250 years or more. The family team is a foursome of immediate family members (father, mother, son, daughter, son-in-law, daughter-in-law or grandparent). The farmer team is a foursome of farmers and farm wives. The fun foursome is any combination of four players. Cash prizes will be awarded for the top 2 teams in each category. Prizes will also be awarded for men’s and women’s longest drive, closest to the pin and longest putt proximities.

Registration fee is $55 per golfer which includes 18 holes of golf, cart and lunch.

Battery Specialists + Golf Carts will sponsor a hole in one contest. Players will have a chance to hit a hole in one from a Par 3 at The National during the outing.

Proceeds from the golf outing will be contributed to the John Culumber Memorial Scholarship and the Shelby County Farm Bureau Foundation Scholarship Programs.
