Shelbyville Daily Union

---- — The seven Erickson children of Todd and Tamara Erickson will again perform at First Sunday Sing held Sunday, September 1 at 3 p.m. at Flourishes Gallery and Studios located at 140 1/2 E. Main in downtown Shelbyville.

They have been asked to return after performing less than a year ago. On this occasion they will sing a miscellaneous mixture including older Stephen Foster era songs, some hymns and a yodeling song. “They are such a delight to hear and see,“ says Carol Kessler, owner and coordinator of this event that is open to the public free of charge. Performers give of their time for the public enjoyment. It showcases the talent that is in this area.

After a reception time, Brock Hammond will also perform on the keyboard. He too has previously presented some of his favorite pieces at Flourishes. He is a piano student of Roseanne Reynolds and a sophomore at Shelbyville High School. Brock has also provided music at a Gallery opening in the past. If not performing, he is often seen at Flourishes when others perform.
