The Dairy barn on the 4-H grounds got a makeover thanks to a local Eagle Scout.
Nick Shaw, 15, of Shelbyville Troop 51, got help from other scouts and parents as well as an area dairy farmer to replace boards, scrape and paint the structure Saturday.
The project was approved by the 4-H Fair board.
“They gave me a choice between the dairy barn and the beef barn. I chose the dairy barn because it looked the worst,” Shaw said.
The wood, paint and other materials were provided by the 4-H Fair Board.
Shaw is the son of Roger and Suzanne Shaw of Shelbyville.
