BC munches Mulberry Grove

---- — Beecher City volleyball started the season 2-0 with their win over Mulberry Grove, 25-19, 25-15.

Kacie Hilt quarterbacked the Eagles to the Egyptian-Illini Conference win with all 14 assists leading to the 14 team kills. Kirsten Buzzard was the chief net threat swinging for seven kills, followed by Caitlin Sloan with four.

Meanwhile Leah Kelly was the top net defender with three blocks. Mid-court defense was led by Kirby Herrmann with five of the 19 team digs from seven different defenders. Buzzard followed with four digs.

Beecher City (2-0) was to play at the Altamont tourney on Saturday.
