Taste of the Prairie in Arcola Saturday

Arcola, IL-August 28, 2013—The gateway of Amish Country announces its first ever Taste of the Prairie in historic Arcola, IL on Saturday August 24, 2013 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Green Mill Village. Located directly off of Interstate 57, at the Arcola exit, Green Mill Village will hosts a family event: The Taste of the Prairie to showcase artisans, artists, crafts, collectibles, farmer’s market, food & more—a complete summer event for the everyone!

The event is specifically looking for sellers & other unique attractions:

- Community French Toast & Peach Smoothing Breakfast kicks off at 7 a.m.

- Cinnamon rolls, cheeses, breads, and other food sampling booths from The Great Pumpkin Patch, The Homestead Bakery, The Kitchen of Doris Yoder, The Pantry in Tuscola

- Acoustic Bluegrass by Mackville from 11am-1pm

- Hot dogs, BBQ & More ---Lunch onsite from Paully’s BBQ & Carriage Crossing

- Tanger Outlet Mall in Tuscola- Fashion Show from 1pm-3pm

- Crafts booths

- Antiques and collectibles vendors

- High quality artisan crafts and handmade items booths

- Newly handmade jewelry vendors

- Up-cycled items and architectural salvage vendors

- Vintage clothing & jewelry vendors

- Original art and photography booths

- Food & beverage vendors

- Local produce

“There are so many great vendors and artisans in the region & this event encompasses the idea that you can see, taste and buy items that are made in this region,” said Cassie Yoder, Green Mill Village Marketing. “Green Mill Village, sits along interstate 57 and is a perfect setting for us, and is centrally located for customers from both the surrounding cities and suburbs. This is an ideal event for businesses in the surrounding communities to also showcase their products to this area & allow the local businesses gain more exposure.
