Pana Christmas Parade Nov. 30

Word has been received from the North Pole that Santa Claus will be making his grand entrance to visit Pana on Saturday, November 30, 2013, via the Pana Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade. Prior to the Parade, Roseland Theater will show a “Free” movie, beginning at 3 p.m. This year’s film will be "A Christmas Carol" starring Jim Carrey rated PG- 96 minutes.

The Parade will assemble on the corner of First and Locust Streets at 4:30 p.m. The parade will begin at 5 p.m. The route will follow Locust Street south and end at Santa’s house located in the Community Park at the intersection of Locust and Third. Santa will be available for taking Christmas request following the Parade. Hot Drinks will be available to purchase while you wait.

Individuals, organizations, businesses, churches, and clubs are invited to participate with a Parade entry. Those entering the parade are reminded that candy may not be thrown from the vehicles and must be passed out by walkers. Prizes will be awarded to the best entries as First Place will receive a $50.00 Pana Chamber Gift Certificate, second place a $30.00 Gift Certificate and third place a $20.00 gift Certificate. The theme of this year’s parade is “Lighting the Way for Santa”. Santa will be assisted by the Pana Lions Club. For more information contact the Pana Chamber at 562-4240.
