SHS Fall Concert entertains family, friends

The choral department of Shelbyville High School presented its fall concert “Seasons of Love” Tuesday evening in the school auditorium.

Vocal director Patty Finks described the concert as a “relaxed” concert to show family and friends what the students have learned during the first part of the school year.

The Concert Choir, Treble Choir, and Jazz Choir each presented four pieces with various soloists being spotlighted.

Soloists in the Concert Choir were Kirsten Baker, Kelsey White, Brittany Blackwell, Dalton Smith-Fox, and Keiffer Johnston.

Soloists for the Treble Choir were Maggy Yockey, Kelsey Toland, Courtney Large, Jessie Denning, Carissa Jennings, Josie Dial, and Elizabeth Carswell.

All three groups came together for the final number, “Seasons of Love”. Featured soloists were Hannah Apple, Garrett Ferguson, and Monica Griesemer.

Accompanying the choirs were Sharla Thilker on piano, Thom Schafer on percussion, and Kevin Herron on bass.

The Holiday concerts will be held on December 17 in the High School gym. The Moulton 6-8 grade will perform at 6 p.m. followed by the High School at 7:30 p.m.
