---- — "A Green Cab" will be opening in Shelbyville the beginning of next week. "A Green Cab" is owned by Eric Stillwell and has divisions in Taylorville, Pana, Litchfield, Lincoln and Rantoul. Eric has over 18 years of experience in the transportation industry as he and his wife Jennifer own "A Touch Of Class" Limousine Service. Eric is also the pastor of Lighthouse Apostolic Church in Taylorville.
"A Green Cab" is a little different than other taxi services, besides being bright lime green, they run vans for ease of entry and comfort.
"We wanted to add a service to the Shelbyville community that would allow everyone the ability to ride in a clean and smoke-free taxi," said Eric Stilwell.
"A Green Cab" charges an affordable budget rate for taxi services as well as take-out and grocery delivery. They also offer a dollar off discount for seniors, veterans and the physically disabled. The chauffeurs that drive for "A Green Cab" are going to be professionally dressed in uniform shirts.
"We are planning on installing HHO converter systems in our fleet vehicles in order to decrease our emissions and in part run our vehicles on Hydrogen gathered from water," Still well said.
"People no longer have to fight the busy crowds and traffic at Wal-Mart or the grocery store, we deliver anything from food to hardware store items directly to you. We are here to make your life a little easier. Don't forget you can stay in the comfort of your home or meet us dockside in your boat and call us for a food delivery, from your favorite restaurant, that will be kept warm in one of our insulated food delivery bags and conveniently delivered to you."
The Stillwell's love the Shelbyville area and are looking forward to serving the community and the surrounding area for many years.
People can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for a taxi or delivery at 774-TAXI(8294). People can also visit them on the web at www.agreencab.net where their pricing is conveniently displayed.
