Cornerstone Community Fellowship in Shelbyville is having a kids carnival, messy games, and Mission Impossible II on Saturday, August 7, beginning at 4 p.m.
There will be a carnival for toddlers through grade school beginning at 4 p.m at the church gymnasium. At 5 p.m. there will be a wiener roast for all ages at the church pavilion outside.
After the wiener roast, grades 4 through high school will enjoy messy games including, mud tug of war, egg baseball, ketchup brigade spam toss, slippery limbo, bobbing for candy bars, and plenty of water balloons, some with a secret ingredient. Kids may want to bring a change of clothes and a towel.
After clean-up, when it gets dark, it will be Mission Impossible II. Last year, kids were given a mission impossible and they chose to accept it. They traversed an obstacle course to complete their mission, risking capture and jail, complete with jail breaks and ultimate victory.
All the events will be done by 9 p.m. and on the grounds of Cornerstone Community Fellowship 1/2 mile east of Shelbyville on Rt 16 and 1/2 south on County Road 2100, just past Circle Park Subdivision. There is no cost, kids just come have a barrel of fun.
