Letha B. Sloan, 88, of Assumption died June 8, 2009 (4:44 p.m.) in Heritage Manor of Pana.

Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday June 12, 2009 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption with John Coney, Minister officiating.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption, Illinois.

Letha was born March 12, 1921 in Windsor, Illinois the daughter of James and Della M (Morgan) Chism.

She married Franklin G. Sloan on September 2, 1942 in Charleston, Missouri. He preceded her in death in December 1977.

Surviving are sons Ronald (Delores) Sloan of Pana, Illinois, Charles R. Sloan of Ashville, NC, Kenneth M. (Sally Ann) Sloan of Assumption; daughters Sandra J. (Wayne) Duzan of Shelbyville, Donna J. (Tom) Vannier of Columbia, SC; sister Ethel Barker of Lowder, Illinois; 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren and two step great-great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husband, parents, one sister and one half-sister.
