Ann Peterson Allred, 95, of Orem, Utah, passed away at 3:45 a.m. Monday, August 25, 2008 at her residence in Summerfield Manor.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 30, 2008 in the 13th Ward Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Nampa, Idaho. Arrangements by Alsip Mortuary, Nampa, Idaho.
Ann was born on October 23, 1912 in Cumberland, Wyoming, the fifth of six daughters born to James Evans and Salina (Kitty) Martin Peterson. She grew up in Evanston, Wyoming. She married Ellis Allred on February 21, 1931 in Morgan, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City L.D.S. Temple. They moved from the West to Illinois where they resided for 40 years. They retired in 1976 in Nampa, Idaho. Ellis died in Nampa, September 1986. Ann spent the last 3 1/2 years at Summerfield Assisted Living Home in Orem, Utah.
Five sons were born to Ellis and Ann. Surviving are three sons, Jay (Barbara) Allred of Shelbyville, IL, John (Teresa) Allred of Morton, IL, and Mark (Brenda) Allred of Orem, Utah; 19 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ellis; two sons, Alan and Marvin Allred; one great grandson; and five sisters.
She will be remembered as a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, and friend. What a Sweetheart! God be with you Mom “Til We Meet Again”.
