Doris Jean Thompson

Doris Jean Thompson, 75, of Exeter, NH, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009, in Exeter Health Care, Exeter, NH, after a lengthy battle with lung disease.

She was born October 1, 1934, in Vandalia IL, daughter of Raymond and Hazel Goodman Boggs. She was raised in Vandalia and living in Taylorville, Tower Hill and Pana where she managed Lake Lawn Inn along with her late husband Bob Thompson.

She is survived by her children: Debora Masterson-Ceri of Exeter, NH, Floyd Eakle of Las Vegas, NV, Howard Eakle of Utah, Terry Eakle of California; stepsons John Thompson and David McFerrin of California; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren; brother Wayne Boggs of Las Vegas, NV; and sister Beatrice Kistler of Vandalia, IL.

She was preceded in death by sons Mark Masterson at age 5 and Michael Masterson in infancy.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 2, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Allen Ebbler officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery Pana.
