Charles Wayne (Chuck) Troby, 69, of Tower Hill passed away at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday (November 18, 2008) at his residence.

Chuck was born Nov. 18, 1939, at McAlester, OK the son of Louis and Pearl Jones Troby.

He married Janet Sue Torbeck on April 8, 1972, in Decatur, IL.

Chuck enjoyed visiting with local friends at Hazel Mae`s restaurant in Tower Hill and McDonalds in Shelbyville. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Shelbyville.

Surviving are his wife Janet; children: Darel Troby of Smith Station, AL and William Troby and wife Kelly of Janesville, IL; grandchildren: Ashley Troby and Shawn Troby; sisters: Mary Walters and Fern Rothley both of Missouri; brothers: Richard Troby of Missouri and Dennis Troby of Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ray Troby.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, in Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Shelbyville. Pastor Wade Helmkamp will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service on Monday. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Decatur. Arrangements are entrusted to Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Memorials can be made to Quad County Hospice or the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Shelbyville. On line condolences may be directed to the family at www.lockartgreenfuneralhome.com
