Beecher City

Wyatt Scott Giles, 18, of Beecher City, IL, passed away at 7:35 AM Wednesday July 31, 2013.

He was born Mar. 27, 1995 in Effingham, IL the son of Darin P. Giles and Kiley N. Logue.

Wyatt graduated from Beecher City High School in the Class of 2013. There he participated all four years in basketball, baseball and Future Farmers of America. He was a member of the Varsity Club.

Wyatt was an outdoorsman and an avid hunter.

Wyatt had recently been accepted into the John Deere Tech Program at Lakeland College which is sponsored by Sloan Implement Co. of Vandalia, IL where he had been employed since graduation.

Surviving are his parents: Darin Giles and wife Jana of Beecher City and Kiley Logue and fiancé Ray Halbrook of Vandalia, IL; grandparents: Dean and Sandy Giles of Beecher City, Debi Seely of Cowden, IL and Jim Logue of St. Elmo, IL; great grandmother Beulah Logue of St. Elmo, IL brother Westen Giles of Beecher City; sister Wenoa Giles of Beecher City; step brother Brady Randall of Beecher City and step sister Jaycie Randall of Beecher City; step grandparents John and Carol Britton of Herrick, IL;; several uncles, aunts and cousins; special friend Mackenzie McClintock.

He was preceded in death by great grandparents: Paul and Jessie McElroy, Charlie and Waneta Giles, Pete and Margie Seely and Don Logue.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday August 5, 2013 in the Beecher City Church of Christ. Sid Hutchinson and Kevin Perkins will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM Sunday. Burial will be in Hubbartt Cemetery near Beecher City. Memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City.
