James W. Clark

Tower Hill, IL

James William Clark, 58, of Tower Hill passed away with his wife and children by his side on November 26, 2012 after a difficult battle with lung cancer.  Born on September 28, 1954 in Hillsboro, IL, he went on to graduate from Assumption High School in 1972 and with a Bachelor of Science from Millikin University in 2009, finishing magna cum laude.

James worked at Caterpillar Inc. 39 years and held the position of process engineer at the time of his passing.  He lived the vast majority of his life in rural Tower Hill as the proud owner of 13 acres only a stone's throw from the ground his father owned during his childhood years.  James most enjoyed spending time with his wife and sharing his wisdom with his children.  He also enjoyed devoting his free time to golf, carpentry, and automotive repair.  James will be remembered for his profound intelligence, his jovial sense of humor, and an unwavering sense of responsibility.

He is survived by his mother, Marcie Clark-Moore; four brothers, Phil Clark, John Clark, David Clark, and Don Clark; one sister, Rita Speagle; his wife, Vickie Clark; four daughters, Valerie Clark, Kelly Clark, Jessica Clark, and Tara Lindell; and two sons, James R. Clark and Aaron Waters.

He was preceded in death by his father, James L. Clark, and his brother, Steven Clark.

A funeral service will be held at Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway St., Shelbyville, IL on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 10 a.m.  Visitation will be held Friday, November 30, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL.
