SHELBYVILLE, IL. — Margaret Carson

Findlay

Margaret Anna Carson, 97, of Findlay, IL passed away at 3:04 AM Monday Oct. 21, 2013 in the Shelbyville Manor.

Margaret was born Feb. 1, 1916 in Shelby County, IL the daughter of Ray and Mary Moon Purcell.

She married Kenneth Carson on Dec. 4, 1937 in Bethany, IL and he passed away Dec. 6, 1980.

Margaret was a long time member of the Findlay United Methodist Church..

She was a homemaker for her family and, for over 20 years, worked as a cook in Findlay, Illinois Schools.

Surviving are her daughters Judith Ann Kruep and husband Robert of Decatur, IL and Jeannie Finch and husband Ron of Peachtree City, GA; grandchildren: John Kruep and wife Carlee of Katy, TX, Kimberly Lawrence and husband Russell of Williamsburg, VA, Ryan Finch of Atlanta, GA, Eric Finch and wife Jennifer of Peachtree City, GA and Susan Finch Padrutt and husband Drew of Atlanta, GA; great grandchildren: Cameron Kruep, Brady Kruep, Jacob Lawrence, Olivia Lawrence, Zoe Padrutt and Owen Finch; sister Norma Herron of Centerville, OH.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, parents and brothers: Ray Purcell and Jack Purcell.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday Oct. 24, 2013 in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Findlay, IL. Rev. Tom Compton will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Findlay Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Margaret’s honor to the Findlay United Methodist Church.
