Beulah Sanders


Beulah N. Sanders, 92, of Beecher City, IL, passed away at 10:55 PM Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, in Taylorville Memorial Hospital in Taylorville, IL.

Beulah was born January 25, 1921, in South Pekin, IL the daughter of Jacob and Lola Blanche Taylor Shrake.

She married Arthur Ray Sanders on January 4, 1941 in St. Charles, MO. He passed away Jan. 14, 2003.

Beulah was a graduate of Cowden, IL High School in the Class of 1940.

She was a loving homemaker for her family.

Beulah was a former member of the Holliday Church of Christ at Holliday, IL until its closing and presently was a member of First Christian Church of Cowden.

Beulah is survived by son: Elwin Eugene Sanders of Beecher City, IL; daughter: Lola N. ( Gary) Endsley of Lakewood, IL; son-in-law: Larry (Lynn) Agney of Shelbyville; grandchildren: Gary (Christy) Agney, Carla (Richard) Moon, Brenda (Bud) Richardson, Amy (Clayson) Cutler, Jeff (Karyn) Endsley and Keith (Jennifer) Endsley; twelve great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; sister : Cora Shrake of Beecher City; brother David Shrake of Beecher City, IL; brother-in-law Robert “Bob” (Mary) Sanders of Bradenton, FL and several nieces and nephews.

Beulah was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Rosetta Agney, step- great grandson Cody Moon and sisters: Ida Turner, Nellie Kramer and Reba Krueger.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday January 29, 2014 in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Cowden. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home and one hour before the services on Wednesday. Pastor Nate Harper will officiate. Burial will be in Bob Doane Cemetery, Beecher City. Memorials may be made in Beulah’s memory to the First Christian Church of Cowden. On line condolences may be directed to the family at
