SHELBYVILLE, IL. — Clinton Andrew "C.A." Friese

Stewardson

Clinton Andrew “C.A.” Friese, 88, of Stewardson, IL, passed away at 12: 55 AM Thursday Dec. 26, 2013 in Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday in the Brummerstedt Funeral Home, Stewardson. Pastor Gary Fortkamp will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before service time. Burial will be in the Stewardson Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by the Stewardson American Legion Post. Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran School, Stewardson. C.A was born Nov. 24, 1925 in Shelby County, IL the son of Andrew Martin and Anna Higgins Friese.

He was a graduate of Stewardson High School. At 17 years of age, he entered the United States Navy and honorably served his country during WWII.

C.A. was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Stewardson, life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post of Effingham, IL and the American Legion Post of Stewardson.

He farmed all of his life. From 1960-1970 he worked in the maintenance department and was a bus driver for the Stewardson-Strasburg School District.

Surviving are his son Ed (Jill) Friese of Mode, IL grandchildren: Kelly (Jeremy) Kinkelaar of Mode, Stacie (Charlie) Bostedo of Mode, IL, Andy (Beth) Friese of Stewardson and J.T. Friese of Stewardson; great grandchildren: Colin, Ella, Sienna, Gianna, Hunter and Callie; sister Mary Keene of Effingham and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sons: David Friese and Danny Friese, parents, and sister Ellen Jiter.
