SHELBYVILLE, IL. — Sharon L. Keck

Windsor

Sharon L. Keck, 69, of Windsor passed away at 1:05 a.m. Saturday (January 11, 2014) at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Windsor Christian Church. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church and one hour before service time Thursday. Burial will be in the Windsor Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor.

She was born March 28, 1944 in Carmi the daughter of Laverne and Berneda (Weiss) Cox. She married Charles Keck in 1971 in Mattoon.

She received a Masters of Education from Eastern Illinois University. She the taught in Gays and Windsor Elementary Schools for 14 years, served as principal of Windsor Elementary School for 6 years and was superintendent of Windsor School District for 20 years retiring in 2013.

Sharon was dedicated to education always working for the benefit of the student with full devotion and enjoyed working with pupil. She earned numerous awards for her dedication to education. Over the years she worked to bring computers to the district. She enjoyed collecting her Santas, Boyd Bears and Willow Tree, short trips with her family and most of all, playing the slots.

Surviving are her husband, Charles; son, Kevin of Windsor; step-daughter, Marla Golden of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to the Sharon Keck Memorial Scholarship Fund to benefit students to further their education. Memorials may be mailed to funeral home or the family.
