SHELBYVILLE, IL. — Cecil T. Crim

Stewardson, IL

Cecil T. Crim, 79, of Stewardson, IL, died at 5:25 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013 in Heartland Christian Village, Neoga, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Stewardson, IL with Rev. Richard Bremer officiating.  Visitation from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the church.  Burial will be in Stewardson Cemetery, Stewardson, IL with military rites.  Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, Stewardson, IL or Stewardson Veterans Memorial.   Howe and Yockey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Crim was born on April 13, 1934 in Columbia, SC the son of Godfrey W. and Ruth Lexie Turner Crim.  He retired from the United States Air Force in 1982 with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Cecil was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Stewardson, IL.  He was also a member of the Stewardson EMT Service for 10 years. He married Carolyn Ann Culver on June 4, 1972 in San Antonio, TX.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son,  Russell Crim of Marco Island, FL; daughters, Deborah Hoback and husband Stanley of Prospect, TN, Darla Allen and husband Byron of Wilkes-Barre, PA and Susan Sorial and husband George of Northbrook, IL; grandchildren, Will, Roger, Terry, Heather, Keith, Holly, Morgan, Sophia, Johnny, Anna and Mark; brother, Maurice Crim and wife Joan of Pahrump, NV; sisters, Mildred Raines Johnson and husband Bob of Jacksonville, FL and Merna Johnson of Blacksburg, SC; mother-in-law, Velma Culver of rural Stewardson, IL; and many other extended family and friends.               

He was preceded in death by his father, Godfrey Crim; mother, Lexie Ruth Turner Crim Coward; brother, Wilson Crim; sister, Anne Gordon; and brother-in-law, Harold Raines.
