Celia Ida (Ruff) Buesking, 104, of Strasburg, IL, beloved Mother and Grandmother, went to be with our Lord on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. at the Sullivan Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Sullivan, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2013 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Strasburg, IL with Rev. Steven Becker officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Strasburg, IL. Memorials may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Strasburg, IL, American Heart Association or donor’s choice. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg, IL.

Mrs. Buesking was born on June 23, 1909 in Strasburg, IL, the daughter of Louis Fredrick and Ida L. Rincker Ruff. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Strasburg, IL. She married Merle E. “Doc” Buesking on June 29, 1930. Merle passed away on June 11, 1997.

Celia is survived by her children, William Buesking and wife Mae of San Antonio, TX, George Buesking of Clawson, MI and June Hutchcraft and husband Charles of Sullivan, IL; brothers, Mervin Ruff and wife Oma of Altamont, IL and Donald Ruff and wife Melba of Strasburg, IL; sisters, Ruth Terhune of Effingham, IL and Melba Storm of Strasburg, IL; sisters-in-law, Frieda Ruff of Decatur, IL and Maxine Ruff of Strasburg, IL; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren.

Celia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merle; son, Dean Eugene Buesking; granddaughter, Susan Buesking; brothers, Maurice and Calvin Ruff; and sisters, Sylvia Ulmer, Leona Breitwisch and Grace Kull.
