Judith Ann Pfeiffer, 73, of Shelbyville, Illinois, died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2013 in her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2013 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Wray Offermann officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and one hour before services on Wednesday. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Shelbyville.

Mrs. Pfeiffer was born on March 2, 1940 in Pana, Illinois, the daughter of Orie and Nellie Snyder Hilton. Judy graduated from Pana High School in the Class of 1958. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Shelbyville, where she served on the church council for over 30 years. Judy was the Tourism Director for the Shelby County Office of Tourism and was active with the Festival of Lights in Shelbyville. She married Ronald L. Pfeiffer on February 14, 1959.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Pfeiffer, Sr.; children, Ronald Pfeiffer, Jr. and wife Tammie of Shelbyville, Pam Furr and husband Terry of Shelbyville and Dr. Jeffrey Pfeiffer and wife Stacy of Decatur, IL; brother, Ken Hilton and wife Virginia of Taylorville; sister, Irma Jacobs and husband Kenneth of Chicago; grandchildren, Laura Pfeiffer and fiancé Dustin Nees, Seth Pfeiffer, Jake Pfeiffer, Courtney Rowcliffe and husband Jared, Matt Furr and fiancée Sarah Hardman, Luke Furr, Klayton Matlock, Abby Pfeiffer and Ally Pfeiffer; and great grandson, Cash Rowcliffe.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Dorothy Richardson and Joyce Lantrip.
