Dee Ann Winings

MARYVILLE, TN. — Dee Ann Winings

Findlay

Dee Ann (Messmore) Winings passed away at 5:41 pm, Friday, June 14, 2013 in her residence.  Memorial services will be held Tuesday, June 18th at 10 a.m. at Lockart Green Funeral Home, Findlay IL.  Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm, Monday, June 17th at the funeral home.

 Dee Ann was born April 17, 1941 in Findlay, IL the daughter of Earl (Babe) and Hattie Messmore.  She married Robert Winings on December 28, 1963 in Findlay.  Dee Ann is survived by her husband, daughters; Kara (Rob) Pfeiffer of Shelbyville, Dana (Kent) Newkirk of Bayfield, CO, son; Jason Winings of Findlay; brother, Bill (Nancy) Messmore of Findlay; nieces, Julie (David) Bernstein and Jane Messmore of Findlay; grandchildren, Rory and Rhett Arthur, Jarrett and Jordan Winings all of Shelbyville.

 She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents; Harve and Catherine Hatfield

 She was a loving mother and devoted Findlian.  Dee Ann was committed to the preservation and growth of her community.  She was organizer of Findlay Centennial and volunteered her time to the Findlay Alumni Association, the Bag Ladies, and the Findlay Community Action Committee.  She was instrumental in saving the St. Mary's Church Bell and bringing it home for dedication at the Findlay United Methodist Church.  Dee Ann was a loving grandmother to all her grandchildren and was always the rock to which their foundation grows.  She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. 

 Memorials can be made to the Findlay United Methodist Church.
