Anna

Jean M. Bible, 92, of Anna, IL, formerly of Shelbyville, IL, passed away at 3:00 PM Saturday April 27, 2013 in the Union County Nursing Home in Anna.

Mrs. Bible was born December 11, 1920 in Shelbyville, Illinois the daughter of Wallace and Lillian Fox Carnes.

She married Eugene D. Bible on July 23, 1944 in the home of her parents in Shelbyville.

Mrs. Bible graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1938 and then from Sparks Business College in Shelbyville. Following graduation from college she worked in the office of the Illinois Attorney General as well as for a private law firm in Springfield, Illinois. The family returned to Shelbyville in early 1955 where she was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, the same church in which she had been baptized as a child. She was involved with the Shelbyville Garden Club, Homemakers Extension and Cub Scouts. After her children were grown, she worked for the Shelbyville Chamber of Commerce.

Surviving are two sons, Bruce and wife Donna of rural Anna, Illinois and Keith and wife Pattie and their two children, Sarah and Nathan of Cedarburg, Wisconsin; two sisters,

Joy Seymour of San Diego, California and June Smith of Denton, Texas; four step grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Eugene.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday May 4, 2013 in the

First Presbyterian Church in Shelbyville. Marilyn Rauch will officiate. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Shelbyville.
