Shelbyville, IL

Shane Christopher Myers, 41, of Shelbyville, IL, died at 7:18 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2014 in his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2014 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL. Visitation will be from 11:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be given to Shelbyville Boys Baseball.

Shane was born on December 9, 1972 in Shelbyville, IL, the son of Jon Timothy and Susan Lynnette Weakly Myers. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in the Class of 1991 and served in the U. S. Army during the Bosnian War. Shane began working in sales for Bob Ridings in Shelbyville and later for K.C. Summers in Mattoon. He most recently was a quality inspector for P & H Manufacturing in Shelbyville. Shane enjoyed coaching baseball and was currently a coach for the 12U Boys Traveling Team and the Cubs Major League Team both in Shelbyville. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Dallas Cowboys. Shane married Amy Christine Donnel on March 24, 2012.

He is survived by his wife, Amy; children, Kalie Myers, Peighton Donnel, Kentrell Beck and Kolten Beck all of Shelbyville, IL; parents, Jon and Susan Myers of Shelbyville, IL; grandmother, Betty Weakly of Shelbyville, IL; brothers, Curt (Becky) Myers of Stillman Valley, IL and Chase Foster of Lovington, IL; sister, Amanda (Jeremy) Doggett of Lovington, IL; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Louie and Tina Donnel of Westervelt, IL.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Mary Myers; and maternal grandfather, Bob Weakly.
